Respect Programme Update

As we get towards season end generally there is a marked improvement on behaviour across the age groups and we are also pleased to report that whilst issues do still occur from time the way most clubs approach these matters is a real positive and shows that the “Self-Policing” part of the Respect Breech Programme is working.

This season we have had clubs   impose suspensions on their own teams, remove problem causing coaches from their staff altogether and also ban parents / supporters from attending their matches all on their own accord.

That is as well as many clubs who also have put coaches, parents etc through educational processes such as the online Respect & Safeguarding modules.

We can’t be complacent as there are still incidents that reflect badly on Youth Football but we seem to be heading in the right direction thanks to the majority of our clubs efforts.
