Dear all,

Please allow me to introduce myself as the new Referees Secretary (for Under 16s and Ladies Leagues only) until the end of this season.

I am aware that we have been without a referee secretary for some months, and you have coped admirably well. Therefore, it is not my intention to confuse the current status quo by enforcing new rules or regulations. However, I would like to request the following, until I familiarise myself with the system:

• If you are a home club and have a qualified referee, please continue to use him/her;
• If you are a home club and do not have a qualified referee, please advise your opponents asap, as they may have a qualified referee to officiate the game;
• If you are the away club, and have a qualified referee who can officiate the game, please advise your opponents;
• If a qualified referee is unable to officiate the game from either side, please let me know as soon as practical and I will try to allocate a referee.

It is my intention to allocate referees to all future matches from 14^th January 2007. I am aware that there are a number of cup games on 7^th January 2007 and hope that you have been able to appoint suitable match officials.
