Referee’s Secretary Bulletin

We are fast approaching the festive break, so I thought I would provide you with an update from the desk of the Referee Secretary!

Firstly, congratulations to you all, as it would be appear you have been able to appoint home officials for your matches, with the minor exceptions. My opening message at the beginning of the season requested information regarding your home officials. To jog your memory, I need the following information:

• Name
• Affiliated County
• FAN (County Registration Number)
• Current CRB registration number and date
• Current Safeguarding Children reference number and date.

This information is vitally important, and therefore I trust I will receive your assistance to provide this.

On a less favourable note, I have started to receive complaints regarding certain officials/clubs. In terms of officials, it is imperative that all clubs submit the referee marks on the new Prawnsandwich system, which I review on a regular basis. The completion of the referee marks will have a dual purpose:

• The ability to visit matches to monitor officials who are doing well, with the view of inviting them to officiate in next year’s League Cup semi finals and finals.

• To visit grounds and watch officials where low marks are being received.
