Proposed extension of the web site next season

You will have noted from the Dave Workman’s column in the goal magazine, that we intend to make more use of technology next season.

One of the most laborious tasks each season is the production of the league handbook, therefore it  is proposed that all handbook details will be submitted via a template on the web site. This will eliminate all the “doctors handwriting” that we need to decipher each year and allow us to process the data more efficiently.

As a trial this year we are decided to collect the information for the cup final programs via an “on-line” template. This trial has already started in the WSYL with this year’ cup finalist already submitting their data this way.

It is also proposed that the without the “Goal” magazine each month we will  be alerting team secretaries by email of  the addition  of useful information to the web site.

Whilst it is early days yet it is also envisaged that next season we will allow the submission of “result” cards directly from the web site.

It is also anticipated that referee’s will be appointed via the web site as well, thus reducing the burden on the Referee’s Secretary having to post out the appointments to the club Sectaries each month and then for the club secretaries to distribute to the team managers.

To save on postage next season the formulations of the new leagues/divisions will only be published on the web site, it is also anticipated that the initial fixtures will be published this way as well

It is hoped that in this way we can reduce costs and make the league more efficient and get information to you in a more timely manor.
