Thank you for taking part in this Survey about 9v9 football. The Management Committee are considering adopting 9v9 football next season.  The research undertaken has highlighted that this must be an “all or nothing” situation, i.e. all teams in an age group must play at the same format, it is not possible for different Divisions to play different formats.  We should be obliged if you would share your views by completing this Questionnaire in order that the findings may be discussed by the Management Committee at our next meeting (for this reason the deadline for the return of the completed Questionnaire is midnight on 11th March 2012).  If 9v9 football is adopted, the Management Committee will recommend that it is introduced at one age group at a time.  We anticipate that it will apply to next season’s U12s who will then also play at 9v9 at U13s and then progress to 11-a-side at U14s. We understand that some Clubs may experience difficulties in arranging facilities and these issues are also addressed in the Questionnaire.  Please remember that this is YOUR League and we will take on board your views, wishes and comments when making a decision.

9v9 football requires pitches midway in size between 7v7 & 11v11 pitches. On the continent, for instance, 9v9 youth football is often played across a half of a full sized 11v11 pitch with moveable goals. The goals are also midway in size.

Recommendations:-
