Minutes of The 40th Annual General Meeting held on Monday 13th June 2005 at Imber Court, Molesey

 

 

 

 

 

Meeting opened at 8.00pm by Kieron Cotter, Chairman, who welcomed all present, and introduced the top table to the floor.

Before the commencement of the AGM, Dave Workman welcomed Brian Brackpool and David Grimmer of Surrey FA, who made a presentation to Kieron Cotter for long and outstanding service to the WSYL, which was followed by a presentation to him from Roy Lomax, on behalf of the WSYL. Kieron then made presentations for outstanding service and commitment to Roy and Pam Lomax, and David Lomax.

 

Acceptance of Minutes of Last AGM:-

Proposed – Dick Cosser – Manorcroft

Seconded – Dee Wakeford – Junior Bees

Voting – Unanimous

 

Matters Arising:- None

 

 

Presentation Of Annual Reports – Chairman – As per attachment.

 

Presentation of Annual Balance Sheet and Statement of Accounts:-

Copies of Annual Balance Sheets and Statements of Accounts were previously sent to all members.

Bob Green of Aldershot Town raised a couple of points with the treasurer, which were explained, and accepted.

Proposed – Roy Anklesaria – Mole Valley

Seconded – John Palladino – Oakway

Voting – Unanimous

 

Election of Clubs to fill vacancies, & Acceptance of all clubs

An amended list was circulated to all members.

Proposed – Jim Dean – Epsom Eagles

Seconded – Trevor Norris – Mytchett

Voting – Unanimous

 

Election of Officers – Voted En Block

Proposed –  Anne Burnell – Corinthian Casuals

Seconded – Peter Edwards - Manorcroft

Voting – Unanimous

 

Alteration to League Rules of which Notice has been given:-

An additional sheet of “cosmetic” amendments were issued, which were accepted.

Proposed – Peter Edwards - Manorcroft

Seconded – Russell Lee – Surbiton Wizards

Voting – Unanimous

 

Objection to Rule Change:-

Roy Anklesaria, Mole Valley, asked if it was possible in the new rule change, to increase the maximum number of 11 a side players registered from 18 to 20.

Kieron Cotter made the above proposal:-

Voting:- For     -   32

             Against - 45

Rule change will stay as 18 maximum players.

 

 

Query on a Single Rule Change :-

Representative from Ashtead Sports, asked about the introduction and implementation of the spectator lines, and where managers would be allowed to stand.

Kieron Cotter stated that it is to be introduced this season, it will be reviewed for next season, some teams have already implemented it, and it would appear to work. Any team that is unable to set a spectator line, should notify WSYL ( e.g council pitches, proximity to another pitch) Keith Glover, referee, stated that Managers would be allowed pitch side of the line, along with subs.

  

Date for Start and Conclusion of Playing Season:-

Members were advised that the WSYL would commence September 11th 2005, and end May 8th 2006.
