Charter Standard Support Evening

Surrey FA have a Charter Standard Support Evening planned for next Wednesday 26^th Feb 2011 at the Town Hall in Epsom starting at 7.30pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for clubs within your league that have not achieved FA Charter Standard Status to receive some one on one support in relation to this area of development. Please can any interested club register their attendance with Michelle Jeffcoate by emailing michelle.jeffcoate@surreyfa.com or calling 07825 056 632.

Tuesday 1^st March 2011 at County Office from 7pm to 9.30pm with registration from 6.45pm

A certificate of attendance and the relevant FA Booklet will be given to those who attend.

FA Junior Football Organisers          

The course offers young coaches/leaders training in three main areas: planning and organising fun football sessions for young people; refereeing mini-soccer games; organising and administrating a football festival.

The course is aimed at children aged 14 -19 to attend a one day course during February half term.

Equality Workshop

There is to be an Equality Workshop from 3pm-6pm, Thursday 3^rd February 2011 at Surrey County FA, Connaught House, 36 Bridge Street,  Leatherhead Surrey KT22 8BZ. The workshop is certificated and costs £20.

Course Information:

• Minimum Age: 16
• Course Prerequisites: None
• Who is it for: This workshop is aimed at anyone involved in the administration or running of football in Counties, Districts, Leagues and Clubs e.g. administrators at county, district, league and club level; volunteers; parents; coaches; referees; managers and players.
• Course aims and objectives: To make sure your football organisation or club is accessible to everyone from different backgrounds (e.g. women; disabled people) in the community by developing a greater understanding of the needs of people; ethnic minorities and how you can build better links with them in order to help make your organisation more accessible to people from different backgrounds. It supports The FA's strategic goal of developing more players in grassroots football.
